Before the move
- Check existing contract dates, notice requirements and any relocation conditions.
- Confirm who is responsible for services at each premises.
- Check connectivity availability and installation lead times at the new address.
- Review calling, payment and waste arrangements.
- Ask providers how to report moving dates and opening or closing readings where relevant.
At handover
Keep dated records of the handover and information supplied to providers. Check final and opening bills against the agreed dates.
After moving
Test essential services, update contact details and check that old accounts have been dealt with appropriately.
